Police are probing the assault and robbery of a 48-year-old deliveryman as he off loaded goods onto a mini-mart in Santa Cruz on Monday afternoon.
Police said the man visited Lynch Avenue, Pipiol Road, at around 1.30 pm to make deliveries when he was approached by two bandits who pulled him out of the truck and onto the ground before demanding cash.
The deliveryman handed over $900 which represented the day’s sales as he was pistol-whipped by one of the bandits. The bandits also stole a black bag containing $17,500 which was hidden inside the truck, before running away.
