Independence Day observances also took place in Tobago today, with the traditional parade marking Trinidad and Tobago’s 64th year as an independent nation.
The ceremony brought together members of the island’s uniformed services for the formal proceedings.
Chief Secretary Farley Chavez Augustine attended the ceremony and took the salute as the parade got underway.
