Independence Day in Tobago was marked by a grand celebration, beginning with a military parade in Bacolet that showcased the island’s protective services, alongside horses from the Healing With Horses Foundation and Pathfinders from the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
The parade began uncharacteristically late due to the delayed arrival of Chief Secretary Farley Augustine, who later revealed that he had encountered engine trouble on his way to the event.
He used that experience as a fitting metaphor in his Independence Day address.
