THE People’s National Movement (PNM) has presided over a “failing state” during the past decade where over 5,000 people have been killed and murderers are 90% certain to get away without action, says former attorney general John Jeremie.
Speaking before thousands of people at the United National Congress (UNC) final election rally at the Aranjuez Savannah yesterday, Jeremie urged the nation to vote for change, as he expressed his deep confidence in Opposition Leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar to lead Trinidad and Tobago.
“We stand this afternoon at an inflection point in the history of this country. An election awaits. That election is our date with destiny,” Jeremie declared, as he decried the state of national affairs.
