The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) has taken decisivesteps to expand Trinidad and Tobago’s water supply through the introduction of three newdesalination plants, targeting long-standing shortages in Moruga/Morne Diablo, Mayaro, andCharlotteville.

As part of a strategic shift toward more resilient water production, WASA has issued aRequest for Information (RFI) to engage private sector partners in the development andoperation of these facilities. This marks a clear transition from reliance on traditional surfaceand groundwater sources to a more sustainable, climate-resilient model.
