Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar returned to Trinidad and Tobago on Wednesday evening following her participation in the Shield of the Americas Summit in the United States.

Shortly after 7 p.m., Persad-Bissessar announced her return in a post on her X account, writing: “Hello beautiful T&T, I’m back,” accompanied by the national flag emoji.

The Prime Minister said she had returned home after attending the summit, which brought together leaders from across Latin America and the Caribbean to discuss regional security and cooperation.
