At least three people were killed and several others injured in a series of violent incidents across Trinidad overnight.

One of the killings occurred along Lady Young Road, near the Las Alturas housing complex, where a man identified as Akido Simon was gunned down while seated in a white Toyota sedan on Wednesday night.

In a separate incident, a man identified as Isaiah Jules, of Chinee Avenue, Manuel Congo, Arima, was shot at Lawrence Park, Arima. He was taken for medical treatment and is listed in stable condition.
