Cop foils robbery at fast food outlet

A St James man is in police custody after he and others tried to steal from the Maraval branch of Burger King on Friday night.

Police said three men walked into the restaurant at Royal Palm Plaza, Saddle Road, around 10.56 pm and ordered workers to lie on the floor as they brandished a gun.

The bandits then stole money from the cash register, placing it in a cardboard box before leaving the business place.
