Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar will leave Trinidad and Tobago today to attend the 51st Regular Meeting of the Conference of CARICOM Heads of Government in Saint Lucia.
The regional summit will bring together Caribbean leaders to discuss issues affecting the Community, including regional security, trade, economic development and climate resilience.
In a statement, the Office of the Prime Minister said that during Persad-Bissessar's absence, Minister of Works and Infrastructure Jearlean John will serve as Acting Prime Minister.
