A motorcyclist was taken to hospital following a fiery crash on the North South Highway, near the Moneague toll exit, on Sunday.

It is understood that the motorcyclist was travelling along the highway, along with other members of a group of bikers, when he crashed into a sign and tore it down, his bike bursting into flames shortly after.

Police assisted the injured man to the Linstead Hospital in St Catherine.
