Minister of Housing Dr David Lee and businessman Hugh Leong Poi were today granted bail in the High Court following their re-arrest on fraud and misbehaviour in public office charges.
Both men however, were absent from the virtual hearing as they remained hospitalised after complaining of illness upon being taken into custody on Tuesday.
At the hearing before Master Lisa Singh-Phillip this morning, Lee, the Member of Parliament for Caroni Central, was granted bail in the amount of $1 million, while Leong Poi was granted bail in the sum of $600,000.
