No 10% wage offer was ever made

Public Utilities Minister Barry Padarath has again rejected the Communication Workers’ Union’s (CWU) claim that TSTT offered a 10% wage increase.

He said Government will not be “bullied” by what he described as the union’s “theatrics” as the dispute over the company’s wage negotiations continues.

Speaking on State-owned TV station TTT on Saturday morning, Padarath reiterated that no 10% wage offer was ever placed on the table, following a protest at TSTT on Friday during which CWU secretary general Joanne Ogeer called for Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar’s intervention.
