HunÂdreds of grievÂing relÂaÂtives, friends, classÂmates and well-wishÂers gathÂered at MonÂkey Town, BarÂrackÂpore, on SatÂurÂday to bid a sorÂrowÂful farewell to sevÂen-year-old AnÂgelÂiÂca Saydee JoÂgie durÂing a fuÂnerÂal serÂvice held unÂder HinÂdu rites at her home.
AnÂgelÂiÂca died afÂter beÂing struck by an out-of-conÂtrol jet ski while vaÂcaÂtionÂing with her famÂiÂly at PiÂgeon Point Beach on April 8.
Her shinÂing cofÂfin, adorned with pink and purÂple butÂterÂflies, with a stuffed toy placed inÂside, restÂed in front of a decÂoÂraÂtive disÂplay feaÂturÂing her phoÂtoÂgraph, with pink, lilac and purÂple balÂloons. Two pilÂlars adorned with leaves and rosÂes framed the area.
