Minister of Defence Wayne Sturge said yesterday he was unaware of any United States military aircraft leaving Piarco International Airport on January 3, the morning of the US’s extraction of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro from his home in Caracas.
He further directed questions and sightings to US government officials such as Secretary of State Marco Rubio and US President Donald Trump, stating that he was not a part of the US government’s inner circle.
Sturge was speaking yesterday morning at a news conference at United National Congress (UNC) headquarters in Chaguanas.
