Visa debit card customers of JMMB Bank who make international purchases will have to go deeper into their pockets as the financial institution has moved to impose a fee on these transactions.
Starting Monday, October 19, cardholders who make purchases, whether online or in person, will be subjected to an International Card Transaction Conversion Fee of 2.3% (2.00% plus GCT).
Subscriptions, streaming, software, gaming, and other digital services provided by international merchants were cited by JMMB as examples of transactions that would be subjected to the fee.
