BusiĀnessĀman DoĀminic Hadeed and his wife Genevieve have apĀpealed High Court Judge Frank SeepĀerĀsadās reĀfusal to orĀder their reĀlease from deĀtenĀtion over an alĀleged plot to kill key GovĀernĀment ofĀfiĀcials.
In an apĀpeal filed earĀliĀer toĀday, lawyers repĀreĀsentĀing the couĀple, led by SeĀnior CounĀsel DouĀglas Mendes, raised more than a dozen grounds of apĀpeal, claimĀing JusĀtice SeepĀerĀsad made sevĀerĀal erĀrors in reĀfusĀing their reĀlease from PreĀvenĀtive DeĀtenĀtion OrĀders (PDOs) last week.
They claimed JusĀtice SeepĀerĀsad was wrong to rule that they could be comĀpenĀsatĀed by the State if they evenĀtuĀalĀly sucĀceed in their subĀstanĀtive lawĀsuit, in which they alĀlege they were tarĀgetĀed by the GovĀernĀment based on their ethĀnicĀiĀty and an onĀgoĀing leĀgal disĀpute over the terĀmiĀnaĀtion of leasĀes for State land.
