Linden town clerk under fire for alleged self-appointment to CH&PA board

(Kaieteur News) – The Linden Mayor and Town Council is calling for an investigation into Town Clerk Lennox Gasper over a letter in which he allegedly represented himself as the council’s nominee to the Central Housing and Planning Authority (CH&PA) Planning Board.
According to a statement issued by the council, the move was made without the approval of the municipality.
The council said it was addressing the public over “a serious matter” involving correspondence issued to the CH&PA regarding representation on its planning board.
