Six chilÂdren were safeÂly evacÂuÂatÂed from a ChilÂdren’s AuÂthorÂiÂty ReÂcepÂtion CenÂtre in San FerÂnanÂdo on SunÂday afÂter a fire broke out in a bedÂroom on the buildÂing’s secÂond floor.
AcÂcordÂing to iniÂtial reÂports, around 3.37 pm, smoke was obÂserved comÂing from the westÂern side of the secÂond floor.
An emÂployÂee raised an alarm and, along with four colÂleagues, swiftÂly evacÂuÂatÂed the chilÂdren while atÂtemptÂing to conÂtain the blaze. DeÂspite their efÂforts, the fire spread rapidÂly.
