(Kaieteur News) – A driver who collected over `$2.6 million from a contractor and a heavy-duty machine operator, promising to help them get their firearm licences was jailed on Wednesday after pleading guilty to obtaining money by false pretence.

Police in a press release said that David Singh called ‘Dave’ 41 of Eccles New Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara, was arrested on Sunday July 26, 2026.

He appeared before Magistrate Dylon Bess at the Diamond/Golden Grove Magistrates’ Court.
