Police detained 21 undocumented immigrants in the Western Peninsula on Monday night.
According to police, around 11.30 p.m., officers of the Coastal and Air Support Unit and the Carenage Police Station responded to information received from the Radar Centre at approximately 10.50 p.m. about a target heading toward Carenage.
Acting on the information, officers proceeded to the vicinity of the Bamboo Fish Market along the Western Main Road, Carenage, where they detained the group. The persons detained include 11 adult males, eight adult females and two male children, aged 16 and six.
