Head of the Assembly of Southern Lawyers Saira Lakhan yesterday reported these statistics during a news conference hosted by attorney Prakash Ramadhar in San Fernando. Addressing the scourge of domestic violence, Lakhan said data compiled by the Central Statistical Office from police records reflected a sustained and deeply entrenched pattern of domestic conflict across the country.
