THE Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) launched its 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign at East Gates Mall in Trincity on November 27, with a focus on the growing issue of digital violence against women and girls.
The global campaign, which started on November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, runs through to December 10, Human Rights Day.
This year’s theme, UNiTE: End Digital Violence Against Women and Girls, highlights the increasing dangers of online abuse, which has emerged as one of the fastest-growing forms of violence.
