Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar has made it clear that her Government stands fully in support of the move by US President Donald Trump to deploy three warships off the coast of Venezuela.
Further, she said Trinidad and Tobago will allow United States troops access to its territory if the regime of Venezuela’s President Nicolas Maduro launches an attack on Guyana.
In a statement issued yesterday evening, Persad-Bissessar stated that no requests have been made by the American government for its military assets to access Trinidadian territory for any military action against the Venezuelan regime.
