THE Ministry of Finance is working to address wage payment complaints at National Maintenance Training and Security Company Ltd (MTS) after the State agency’s “inherited financial mess” caused administrative delays, Public Utilities Minister Barry Padarath has said.
Padarath told the Express via WhatsApp yesterday that the Government “inherited a financial mess at the MTS from the former administration with outstanding receivables amounting to over $700 million” which impacted the Human Resource matters at the company.
Padarath said he has spoken with Minister of Finance Dave Tancoo, as “we have been attempting to reconcile the matter”.
