The Min­istry of Trade, In­vest­ment and Tourism has wel­comed Satyaka­ma Ma­haraj, a day af­ter he was sworn in as the new Min­is­ter.

Ma­haraj was ac­com­pa­nied by Dr. Col­in Neil Go­sine, Par­lia­men­tary Sec­re­tary in the Min­istry. He met with Ran­dall Karim, Per­ma­nent Sec­re­tary (Ag.), Ava Ma­habir-Dass, Deputy Per­ma­nent Sec­re­tary (Ag.) and oth­er Min­istry of­fi­cials and mem­bers of staff.

Dur­ing his vis­it, Ma­haraj ex­pressed that he was both hum­bled and ho­n­oured to serve as Min­is­ter and em­pha­sised "his deep sense of re­spon­si­bil­i­ty in un­der­tak­ing the role."
