Min­is­ter of Trade, In­vest­ment and Tourism, Satyaka­ma Ma­haraj, has held dis­cus­sions on trade and in­vest­ment po­ten­tial­i­ties with His Ex­cel­len­cy Jon Dean, High Com­mis­sion­er for the Unit­ed King­dom of Great Britain and North­ern Ire­land to the Re­pub­lic of Trinidad and To­ba­go.

Ac­cord­ing to a state­ment from the Min­istry, the meet­ing fea­tured "cor­dial dis­cus­sions" on a wide range of ar­eas, in­clud­ing bi­lat­er­al trade, in­vest­ment co­op­er­a­tion, pub­lic/pri­vate sec­tor part­ner­ships, and av­enues for trade part­ner­ships to sup­port small and medi­um-sized en­ter­pris­es (SMEs) be­tween Trinidad and To­ba­go and the Unit­ed King­dom.

His Ex­cel­len­cy al­so un­der­scored the im­por­tance of deep­en­ing the long-stand­ing and mu­tu­al­ly ben­e­fi­cial trade re­la­tion­ship be­tween both na­tions.
