Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Tertiary Education and Skills Training, Hansen Narinesingh, has highlighted the importance of collaboration in preparing citizens for an evolving tourism sector and ensuring that training aligns with both local and international industry demands.
Speaking at the launch of MIC Institute of Technology’s ‘Inside the Industry: Tourism Edition’, he underscored the importance of stronger collaboration among government, industry, and educational institutions to prepare a workforce capable of meeting the evolving demands of the tourism sector.
He said the initiative will provide students with direct exposure to industry expertise, emerging trends, and practical skills, while creating pathways to a diverse range of careers and entrepreneurial opportunities within tourism.
