Two Mor­vant men were ar­rest­ed on Sun­day dur­ing an an­ti-crime ex­er­cise in the area, af­ter they were found with a firearm and am­mu­ni­tion and a quan­ti­ty of mar­i­jua­na trees ex­ceed­ing the le­gal lim­it.

Dur­ing the op­er­a­tion be­tween 5 and 8 am, of­fi­cials of the North East­ern Di­vi­sion (NED) Task Force, the NED Gang and In­tel­li­gence Unit, the San Juan CID, and the Ca­nine Unit, ex­e­cut­ed search war­rants at the home of a 44-year-old man at Up­per St Fran­cois Val­ley Road, Mor­vant.

Dur­ing the search, of­fi­cers found a Glock pis­tol fit­ted with a mag­a­zine con­tain­ing ten rounds of 9 mm am­mu­ni­tion, to­geth­er with an ex­tra mag­a­zine con­tain­ing ten rounds of 9 mm am­mu­ni­tion.
