Three men, including a 16-year-old, were detained after police intercepted a vehicle on the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway and seized a cache of firearms and ammunition believed to be part of the weapons stolen from the San Fernando Municipal Police Station.
According to police, the arrests were made during a traffic exercise on Monday between Debe and Preysal, coordinated by officers of the Debe Operations Team and the Traffic and Highway Patrol South Unit.
Around 7.25 a.m., officers acting on information stopped a white Kia 2700 on the Claxton Bay overpass. A search of the vehicle revealed a black plastic bag containing firearms and ammunition.
