A wedding ring and a large sum of cash were among the items stolen when cutlass-wielding bandits broke into the home of a La Romaine businessman early Wednesday morning.
Police said the 30-year-old man and his wife were awakened by a loud noise outside their bedroom around 3 am. Within seconds, two men dressed in dark-coloured hoodies, one armed with a cutlass, burst into the room.
One of the suspects bound the husband’s hands with plastic straps while the other ransacked the house. The bandits stole a bag containing approximately 80 grams of gold scraps, one white gold wedding ring, three gold hand bands, one Louis Vuitton handbag, and three gold beras.
