CONVICTED murderer Chuck Attin has been handed a further prison term of more than 22 years after pleading guilty to raping a woman during a Westmoorings home invasion nearly three decades ago.

The sentence was imposed by High Court judge Kathy Ann Waterman Latchoo, who ruled that Attin must serve 26 years and eight months with hard labour for rape.

After deducting time already spent in custody, the court ordered that he serve a remaining term of 22 years, nine months and 25 days.
