A 32-year-old Chaguanas woman was tricked out of $5,500 in cash as she tried to “get in” on an alleged drinks deal.
Police said the victim messaged a man on Facebook - whom she was introduced to by a mutual friend and known only as Glenn who claimed he was employed at Tru Valu, Trincity Mall– enquiring about an alleged link to obtain cheap drinks.
The victim arranged to meet the suspect at Tru Valu around 11.30 am on June 25.
