The Education Ministry has started processing payments for its $20 million in book grants and supplies to 20,000 eligible students, it said in a press release on July 15.
This will be disbursed under its 2025 school supplies and book grants for students of government and government-assisted primary and secondary schools. “The ministry is currently working closely with the Ministry of Finance to secure the required financial releases to facilitate the commencement of disbursements,” the July 15 release said.
People receiving public assistance, the unemployed and those with disabilities are to be given priority, it said.
