TWO police officers who were charged in 2014 with misbehaviour in public office have had the corruption allegations against them dismissed after prosecutors indicated they would not be proceeding with the case.
On Monday, PCs SelÂvon Joseph and Samuel Gardiner were discharged during a sufficiency hearing before High Court Master Nazeera Ali.
The charges arose out of an incident in February 2014, when it was alleged that Joseph, Gardiner and another police officer had agreed to accept $15,000 from a man in Chaguanas in exchange for not pursuing criminal proceedings against him.
