A HIGH COURT judge has stayed the lawsuit filed by a Laventille-based contractor against the CEPEP Company (CEPEP) and has directed that all case documents be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for a full and comprehensive investigation.
The case, which was filed by Eastman Enterprise Ltd after CEPEP terminated its contract in June, involved allegations of “political fraud” related to the improper extension of contracts collectively valued at approximately $1.4 billion.
