(Kaieteur News) – Fifteen days after the deadline passed for Expressions of Interest (EOI) to salvage the sunken MV Barima, the Government of Guyana faces continued criticism over its failure to release basic details about the procurement process or the timeline for recovery operations.

Opposition Member of Parliament, Ganesh Mahipaul issued a critique on Saturday, calling out the administration’s continued silence following one of the most tragic maritime disasters in the nation’s history.
