Transport Commissioner Clive Clarke has signalled that plans are under way to implement a red-light camera system to capture traffic lawbreakers.
Clarke made the disclosure yesterday during a meeting of the Joint Select Committee (JSC), which was convened to enquire into the efficiency of the traffic management system in Trinidad and Tobago.
In responding to questions on measures being taken to improve traffic flow, Clarke said from a road law enforcement perspective, there was a comprehensive database of all vehicles and drivers in the country.
