An uniden­ti­fied man was killed in what po­lice be­lieve was a hit-and-run along the Sir Solomon Ho­choy High­way near Ch­agua­nas on Wednes­day night.

Po­lice said around 7.08 pm, a group of peo­ple flagged down an am­bu­lance trav­el­ing north near Bhag­wans­ingh’s Hard­ware. Emer­gency per­son­nel found the man ly­ing in the me­di­an with in­juries con­sis­tent with a ve­hic­u­lar col­li­sion. He was tak­en to the Ch­agua­nas Health Fa­cil­i­ty and lat­er trans­ferred to Mount Hope Hos­pi­tal, where he was pro­nounced dead at ap­prox­i­mate­ly 9.58 pm.

Cpl Singh and PC Ben­jamin searched the area for cam­era footage but re­port­ed that none was avail­able.
