The event will get underway from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The consultation forms part of the Commission’s commitment to promoting harmony and good relations among Guyana’s diverse ethnic communities and will provide an opportunity for citizens and stakeholders to contribute their views on matters relevant to the ERC’s constitutional mandate.
According to a press release, ERC said the principal focus of the consultation will be constitutional reform, particularly matters relating to ethnic relations, equality, inclusion, protection from discrimination, ethnic security, and the role and effectiveness of institutions established to support those objectives.
