As the 2026 dry sea­son tight­ens its grip on the land­scape, Rur­al De­vel­op­ment and Lo­cal Gov­ern­ment Min­is­ter Khadi­jah Ameen has is­sued a stark warn­ing, say­ing Trinidad and To­ba­go’s strug­gle with bush­fires is be­ing fu­elled by a “cul­ture of law­less­ness” re­gard­ing lit­ter­ing and il­le­gal dump­ing.
