A 30-year-old man from Aranguez was killed early Thursday morning when his vehicle collided with another along the Churchill-Roosevelt Highway near the UWI traffic lights.
The deceased has been identified as Robinson Carrasquero-Anpunez, 30, of Aranguez. Around 2:55 a.m., Mt Hope Hospital doctors contacted the St. Joseph Police Station and reported that Carrasquero-Anpunez had been brought in by the Emergency Health Services following the crash. He was pronounced dead on arrival at 2:47 a.m.
Police said Carrasquero-Anpunez had been driving a silver Toyota Aqua when the accident occurred. The other vehicle involved was driven by George Lezama of Sweet Pine Avenue, Quash Trace, Sangre Grande.
