A 43-year-old homeless man is expected to face multiple charges after allegedly slashing a police officer with a broken bottle before officers recovered what appeared to be a stolen Trinidad and Tobago Police Service electronic ticketing device from his possession.
Police said officers from the Central Division Task Force responded around 2.30 p.m. on Thursday to reports of a man armed with a broken bottle behaving disorderly along the Southern Main Road near Manzana Drive, Cunupia.
On arrival, they found the suspect running along the roadway while gesticulating at pedestrians and passing motorists.
