Port-of-Spain Mayor Chinua Alleyne confirmed that 24 vehicles were wrecked yesterday, as enforcement resumed across the capital’s business district.
Alleyne said the initiative is a joint effort between the TTPS POS Division and the City, responding to complaints from the PTSC, Fire Service and taxi associations about indiscriminate parking that obstructs buses, emergency vehicles and taxi stands.
“Often, buses and emergency vehicles have difficulty traversing the city centre, and many of our taxi stands have turned into parking lots.
