IT SHOULD concern every 'right-thinking' citizen that former head of the Strategic Services Agency (SSA), Roger Best-who has allegations hanging over him-has been embraced by the UNC, says one PNM politician.

'It should offend the sensibilities of every right-thinking citizen,' National Security Minister Marvin Gonzales told the Express on Wednesday, noting that Best is the subject of a police investigation.

Gonzales said the UNC was very comfortable associating with people who have had allegations made against them, such as former MPs David Lee and Dr Roodal Moonilal. Gonzales said Best had found company with a party consisting of people who are similarly the subject of allegations, adding: 'That is the uniting factor-that is the common denominator'.
