United National Congress (UNC) deputy political leader David Lee says he has been persecuted by the People’s National Movement (PNM) for the past three years since being charged with two criminal offences.
And now that the matters have been discharged by acting Chief Magistrate Christine Charles who upheld the no-case submissions made by his attorneys yesterday, Lee said he was thankful to God, his family and all who supported him.
In an interview with the Express before his walkabout in Preysal (in Caroni Central which is he contesting for the general election) yesterday, Lee said he was thankful for UNC political leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar, former Couva South MP Rudranath Indarsingh and others who remained loyal and believed he was innocent.
