A man of no fixed place of abode was killed af­ter he was struck by a ve­hi­cle while at­tempt­ing to cross the Au­drey Jef­fers High­way near Pow­der Mag­a­zine, Co­corite, around mid­day to­day.

Po­lice said the man was at­tempt­ing to cross the west­bound lane when he was hit. He died on the scene.

The dri­ver of the ve­hi­cle stopped and is as­sist­ing of­fi­cers with their in­ves­ti­ga­tions.
