Two employees of Massy Stores at Mid Centre Mall, Chaguanas, were taken to hospital after an explosion in the building on Saturday afternoon.
The incident occurred around 1.45 pm when bakery attendant Nikki Salandy and cashier Kyla Rondón were seated in the staff lunchroom on the upper floor of the building.
The women reportedly heard an explosion and evacuated the area.
