AN explosion at a three-storey plaza on High Street, San Fernando, caused the front glass on the upper floor to shatter, spewing debris onto sections of the pavement and roadway near the Penal taxi stand, where taxi drivers and commuters were gathered at the time.
The explosion occurred around 5 p.m. yesterday inside Skyline Pub, located on the third floor of R&M Plaza.
Emergency personnel responded and the building and a section of High Street were subsequently cordoned off as clouds of smoke filled the air.
