Missing girl’s video under police investigation

POLICE are investigating whether laws were breached in the publication of a video showing a 13-year-old girl who had been missing for 25 days.

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) said its Special Victims Department was investigating the matter after a video circulated on social media showing the child, who was located on Friday, in the company of a 49-year-old man.

The video, broadcast live by Hunters Search and Rescue Team led by Shamsudeen Ayube, showed the child’s face and him addressing her about her disappearance.
