Opposition Chief Whip Marvin Gonzales says the decision to issues police arrest warrants for Kaia Sealy has raised serious concerns about the handling of the matter by the T&T Police Service (TTPS).
Speaking with reporters outside Parliament yesterday, he said he was “very much shocked” by the development. “As a citizen, we would have seen the video. And we would have arrived at certain conclusions based on the video we would have seen. And the decision by the (Director of Public Prosecutions) on this matter to prosecute Kaia Sealy was quite shocking to me,” he said.
He also questioned the manner in which information relating to the case had been released by the Police Service.
